Pure Maple Syrup Leaf Candy - 8 Ounces

Our family-produced Nova Maple Candy is sustainably harvested from our own hardwood forests in Northwest Pennsylvania. We take pride in creating the best syrup possible and are confident that you'll love eating it as much as we love making it! Our 100% Grade A Maple Syrup candy can be used on sweets, meats, and breakfast treats. However, please keep in mind that maple candy tends to dry out quickly, so it's best to consume it within one month of production.

Each box is weighed to ensure it contains at least the advertised weight. Our molds are typically 1/3rd oz, but they range from 1/4 to 1 oz, so the number of pieces in each box can vary. Our candy is gluten-free and dairy-free, and it has a shelf life of approximately 6-8 weeks. Our family-owned and operated business taps hard (sugar) and soft (red) maple trees across four properties in January or February, depending on winter temperature forecasts. We use a vacuum pump and tubing to collect the clear maple sap, which ranges from 1-3% sugar content.

The collected sap is run through a reverse osmosis system to increase the sugar content, making the boiling process more efficient. The boiling process uses a steam recovery system to save fuel oil. The syrup is bottled at a high temperature (160-180 degrees) to eliminate any bacteria growth and is filtered before being sealed and sent to customers. Additionally, the syrup is also used to make other products such as sugar, cream, and candy.

The Nova Maple Syrup business was established in 2015 with the purchase of a 100-acre property and has since expanded to 22,500 taps covering 275 acres. This family-owned operation began as a hobby in 2013 with just 50 trees and has grown significantly since then. The business is named after their dog, Nova, and has expanded to include two sons, born in 2017 and 2019.

Our 8 ounce box of candy typically contains 16-24 pieces and is made from pure Grade A maple syrup. The candies are harvested and made in the USA without any chemicals, preservatives, artificial flavors, colors, or other additives. The expiration date is printed on the bag, and to extend the shelf life, the unopened bag should be kept in the freezer. Please do not remove the candies from the bag until they are ready to be consumed.
